In the first instance please Telephone to briefly discuss your condition or concern and if you wish to proceed further with a Consultation then a confirmed booking can be made or later using the Online Booking Form.
During a Consultation firstly, our practitioner Lyndon will ask a range of questions and to confirm your constitution he may take your pulse and take a look at your tongue. An assessment of any symptoms, family history and patterns of illness will be discussed. He will also talk about your current state of health and your emotional well being as well as your state of mind as current indications of your health.
Due to our constitution, we are prone to certain types of health problems and illnesses. Ayurveda focuses on the health of the patient rather than on the disease so the aim is about bringing you back to your optimal health and then maintaining it. This is done by treating the root cause of the disease rather than just treating the symptoms.
Once aware of your constitution he will discuss your diet and lifestyle and offer guidelines on the correct diet and type of food within a quality that you can afford along with any herbs or supplements that will be specific to your constitution. He may also suggest certain types of massage or treatments using medicated organic oils specific to your body type which will help supplement and enhance the re-balancing of your constitution. In each of the treatments specific organic medicated oils are used again which will be tailored and right for you. Additional Ayurvedic advice or treatment that can be offered may be in the form of knowledge for daily and seasonal routines, nutrition, exercise and proper use of our senses along with medicinal herbal remedies and practices of detoxification that can be done at home or deep detoxification treatments like Panchakarma and Rejuvenation.
Your first Consultation may take around 2 hours, this will allow time to get to know you and also allow time to fully understand your condition. Following a Consultation, a treatment plan or herbal formulation may be offered. A follow up Consultation will normally be necessary within two to three weeks to ensure everything is OK. Any adjustments can be made at this point with the follow up taking up to an hour. You will be encouraged to keep in contact between consultations and also into your wellness with any questions or queries you may have
