About Me

About Me

My name is Lyndon and I live in the village of Llangeinor, Bridgend, South Wales. On leaving school I began my study and career in mechanical engineering, manufacturing commercial gym equipment, this led me to my current position as a  director of an international fitness company. I am a keen Musician with a playing ability that extends throughout a range of musical instruments. In my spare time my hobbies are travelling around the country and I enjoy meeting and making new friends.

From an early age I have always been inquisitive about the effect that food, diet and lifestyle has on our bodies health and wellness. I believed being fit meant that one would assumingly also be healthy but I couldn’t have been more wrong. So much so, that after suffering a string of long term illnesses several years ago, although having good fitness, my health rapidly deteriorated.

Since my childhood, I had regular visits to our local doctors with recurrent water infections which continued into my later life, along with respiratory health issues that I always felt had a close link to my diet and lifestyle. My body had absorbed it’s fair share of prescription drugs which had only ever dealt with the symptoms of my ailments. When I asked how did it happen, when, why me or what was the cause, these were questions that couldn’t be answered by health professionals. At the age of 47 and carrying an element of stress from business and family life my health took a downward plunge with what seemed to be an accumulation of physiological dis-orders that neither my doctor, the nhs or private health care system failed to understand or correctly diagnose. After an accumulation of errors, miss-diagnosis and again no curative option as well as being too unwell to work for almost two years, I knew It was time to try a different health system with a more holistic approach.

My emphasis was on finding the root cause, after all if I could find out the cause only then would I have any hope in getting rid of the dis-ease. This is where I felt a spiritual guidance towards Ayurveda “ayur” meaning Life and “veda” meaning Knowledge so “The Knowledge of Life”. Little did I realise my connection to this 5000 year old timeless natural healing system would be the key to the powerful curing of my disease. Alongside my Diploma study I acquired enough “basic” knowledge of Ayurveda to experience first hand the noticeable natural healing of my various symptoms. Ayurveda is now part of my life and I practice it daily in my diet, lifestyle and nutrition to help keep my body in balance. I didn’t choose Ayurveda it chose me and I strongly believe that Ayurveda was my “Calling”, becoming sick myself for my soul purpose to be able to treat and help others so they too can open up their hearts and let this Ayurvedic Healthcare System in so they too can take back sovereignty of their own health. I am passionate about Ayurveda, not only is it curative based but also aims at health promotion, disease prevention and rehabilitation.

I gained my Professional Qualification in Ayurveda at the Ayurveda Institute UK located in London under the teaching of Dr Deepika Rodrigo who has been in continuous clinical practice for 25 years in the West. Here, I passed my Diploma with Distinction.
Since this, I have further continued my professional study of Ayurveda in Kerala, Southern India undertaking a further STED Diploma in Ayurveda and Panchakarma as well as Marma-Point Therapy and Massage with teaching and guidance from Dr Rajesh Deven and Dr Sapna Rajesh. Here I gained a Grade A pass. The STED Diploma gives international recognition.
I have Professional Liability Insurance and I am an active member of the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals (AAPUK).
